massage to relieve pain or stiffness in your back, neck & shoulders

Desk jobs and poor posture can cause discomfort and stiffness in your neck, shoulders and back. You may be working longer hours, with less break time, than ever before. It may be hard to find time to do regular stretches or take pilates or yoga classes.

Back massage combines elements of deep tissue and remedial massage to ease tension from your back, neck and shoulders. This massage will leave you feeling more relaxed and with a noticeable improvement in flexibility of the shoulder joints.

If you have not had a massage in the past 2 months, it is recommended that you book a 60 minute massage to gain the most benefit.

Prevention is better than cure - try attending a regular stretching class, such as yoga, pilates or tai chi. Your body may be more flexible on one day than on another, so don't expect to be able to achieve the same level of stretch every time. Learn to listen (and respect) your body

What to expect afterwards

You may experience tenderness afterwards in areas where there was a lot of tenion. This may last a day or two.  You should feel a great improvement after this. The more regularly you have a massage, the less painful it should be afterwards because you are preventing the build up of tension in the first place.

How often to have a massage

On average, a monthly massage will help keep your body healthy and flexible and reduce the amount of tension in your muscles. Appointments can be booked as 45, 60 or 90 minutes.
